How does a woman go from being a pro-abortion liberal feminist to leading the way for conservative pro-family values in Arizona?
Join us and hear Cathi Herrod, president of Center for Arizona Policy (CAP), tell her own story of how God worked in her life to bring her to where she is today, shaping state policy on some of the most divisive issues of the last decade.
Cathi helped strengthen marriage with Proposition 102, which defines marriage in the Arizona Constitution as only between one man and one woman. She has promoted the sanctity of life by limiting abortion and stopping attempts to bring physician-assisted suicide to Arizona. In addition, she has led the charge in protecting our community from gambling and pornography, allowing Bible clubs to be formed in middle schools, and expanding educational choice.
- In 2008, CAP President Cathi Herrod was awarded the Family Champion Award by Focus on the Family Action.
- In 2009, Cathi was named one of the Ten Most Influential Arizonans of the Decade by the Arizona Capitol Times.
- Most recently, the Arizona Capitol Times named Cathi Herrod as one of the main people with "juice" or influence at the legislature.
